Plan for rate increases for UPS, FedEx, DHL and USPS

Common carriers and the U.S. Postal Service are raising their rates for parcel shipments effective between Dec. 23, 2024, and Jan. 18, 2025.

FedEx, UPS and DHL have all announced a 5.9% base rate increase across all categories.

The U.S. Postal Service has announced the following rate increases:

Priority Mail (includes large envelopes “flats” over 13 ounces) and Priority Express Mail will increase 3.2%.

Ground Advantage parcels (includes large envelopes “flats” that exceed dimensions, rigid, non-rectangular, or are not uniformly thick) will increase 3.9%.

Parcel Select package will increase 9.2%.

Please plan accordingly for these increases as you prepare shipments in the new year.
