A coalition of students, faculty and local businesses has come together to put on a screening of the documentary “Last of the Right Whales.”

Two guest speakers, both professors at UMass Lowell, will discuss how human activities impact marine and climate conditions, emphasizing the urgent need for action to protect our environment. They’ll highlight how science education empowers communities to address climate change, equipping students to make a real difference. The speakers will also touch on biodiversity conservation and the importance of protecting vulnerable ecosystems.

There will be a raffle of gift cards to local restaurants, and an opportunity to take a campaign action to help save the North Atlantic Right Whale.

We hope students leave feeling inspired and ready to take action on environmental issues.

Date and Time: Tuesday, Nov. 19, 6 p.m.
Location: O’Leary Library, Auditorium Room 222
