I would like to inform you of a significant transition within UMass Lowell’s Brand, Communications & Creative Strategy (BCCS) department.

Vice Chancellor bec rollins has informed me that she will depart from her position at the university at the end of this year. As you know, bec initiated and directed the university’s current rebranding project. Given the importance of the new UML brand in the university’s ongoing enrollment efforts, bec is committed to overseeing and advancing this important endeavor during her remaining time on campus; collaborating closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of the UMass Lowell rebrand through December 31, 2024.

In the weeks following the New Year, bec will shift priorities to further support the university in a smooth transition of BCCS leadership.

I deeply appreciate bec's contributions and dedication to UMass Lowell’s mission and am grateful for her partnership as we work through her departure. We will keep you informed of further developments as these changes unfold, including any interim management decisions and next steps for BCCS.
