Join the University Library for its first silent book club.

The book club meets Oct. 24 on the Mezzanine of O’Leary Library from 2 to 3:30 p.m., and on Oct. 31 on the first floor of Lydon Library, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

What’s a silent book club? It’s the best book club ever! A silent book club is a community of readers who gather to do just that — read!

You can pick what you want to read and in the format of your choice (bring headphones for your audiobook). There won’t be a discussion, but there will be candy, treats, and special stickers.

What can you read? Anything! Does it have to be a physical book? Nope!

You can read on your Kindle or other ebook reader. You can read on your phone. You can listen to an audiobook (please bring headphones). You can bring comic books or magazines. You can even read books and articles for your classes.

If you need a book to read, we will have a variety of titles available from our collection. You’ll find books from our Book Love collection, books from Lowell Reads 2024, and books by Elizabeth Strout who will be on campus. Check them out and take them with you when the book club is over.

Join us at both events to keep reading.
