A Proposed Model for Restorative Practices in Schools
Presented by Hilary Lustick

This month's Brown Bag features a proposed model for restorative practices in schools. This logic model can be useful for grants principals often write to implement restorative practice implementation. Furthermore, the more often these types of “inputs” and “outputs” are utilized, the more likely it will be for policymakers to use these as well. Over time, this might help policy veer away from high-stakes accountability measures and towards long-term, sustainable implementation plans that have an actual impact on school culture. We will view an example of a logic model using the suggested inputs from Lustick's forthcoming book, Culturally Responsive Restorative Leadership in Education: Necessary Dilemmas for Transforming Schools, due through Routledge in 2025.
