The UMass Lowell Department of Music invites all string students to join us between 9 a.m. and noon on Saturday, Oct. 19 for a mock audition for this year's Northeastern District Senior Festival. The event will be held in the Moloney Performing Arts Center, 35 Wilder St., Lowell MA 01854.
The mock audition will function very similarly to a formal audition, including scales, some or all of the required solo piece, and sight reading (either in the audition or as a workshop with other students).
There is no fee for this event! We want to provide this opportunity to feel and perform at your best at your audition! You will receive feedback from our faculty. Register before Oct. 1. Individual times will be confirmed on or before Oct. 5.
UML faculty adjudicators will include Nicole Parks, violin and viola, Ben Swartz, cello, and Chuck Gabriel, bass.
