Oct. 10 is World Mental Health Day. In order to smash the stigma, UMass Lowell is bringing The Yellow Tulip Project to campus and planting a Hope Garden filled with yellow tulips and daffodils on North Campus by the Starbucks.

Why yellow flowers? Yellow tulips and daffodils are the flowers of hope. They need to be planted close together - just like us. We all need community. Every year, they go in the cold, dark ground all winter, in order to beautifully bloom in the light of spring, representing that there is always hope.

Join Facilities, Student Life & Well-being and UMatter2 to come together in community, smash the stigma, and plant the seeds of hope for the spring.

The Hope Garden Planting will take place on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 11 a.m. outside of Starbucks on North Campus. Gardening gloves will be provided!
