Do you love to sing? Come join one of UMass Lowell's fantastic choirs! All are welcome, and there is a place for singers of all experience levels!

The Music Department has three traditional choirs, and there’s an ensemble for every skill level, whether you are an experienced vocalist or brand new to singing in choirs.

The Common Voice is our large community chorus that is open to all students, faculty, and the Greater Lowell community - just show up and sing! The University Choir and Chamber Singers are the two auditioned choirs, and they will be collaborating with the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra in November!

Additionally, the New Purpose Gospel Choir welcomes singers from all backgrounds to experience the joy of gospel music.

Each ensemble offers a great opportunity to grow as a musician, sing with joy and expressivity, and join an inclusive and welcoming community of singers.

You can learn more about each choir and how to audition, if necessary, at www.uml.edu/choral-signup. Auditions for University Choir and Chamber Singers will be held on Sept. 4, 5 and 6 in the Moloney Performing Arts Center, but singers can be added to the rosters as late as Sept. 17.

If you have any questions about the choirs please do not hesitate to reach out to Jonathan Richter, Director of Choral Activities, at jonathan_richter@uml.edu.
