With the start of the Fall Semester quickly approaching, we wanted to remind you of some important information about parking and access on campus.

• All members of the UMass Lowell community (i.e., all faculty, students, staff, and vendors) must obtain a parking permit for any vehicle they operate on campus prior to 3 p.m. The student commuter lots open at 3 p.m. on North and South campuses.
• Parking permits for the 2024-25 academic year should be purchased / renewed online if you haven’t done so already and require parking on campus this semester.
Day passes can be purchased for $8 per day and are a great option for those not on campus regularly or those that work remote and need to visit campus. These should be ordered prior to arriving on campus and your UCard will allow access to eligible lots the day it was ordered for.
• All parking lots will be secured (gate arms down) beginning Wednesday, Sept. 4. Once parking is ordered your UCard can be scanned at the lot entrance gate for access to the lots you are eligible for.
• If you don’t have your UCard yet and are a current University Member, you would want to stop by our office. Our office is located in University Crossing, 220 Pawtucket St., in the rear by University Police. Replaced IDs can also be issued for any lost IDs and is a $20 replacement Fee.
Metered parking options are available to provide short-term parking options to members of the UMass Lowell community, guests and the public. Please note that payment is required, regardless of decal, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday-Friday.
• The Costello / Pinanski Lot will be for only members with a faculty parking permit starting next week and throughout the Fall / Spring semester. Staff with a permit can park in the Olsen Lot or North Garage (Upper Levels) on North Campus.
• There is a traffic pattern change near Olney Hall, and you can no longer enter the bus loop / service road from Riverside Street. Instead, you must enter through Sparks Street and go down the access road past the North Garage. Shuttle Service will continue outside near Olney Hall, so please use caution in that area to ensure safety of pedestrians crossing.

If you have any questions about parking or your UCard please contact our office at UCAPS@uml.edu or 978-934-2800. We are look forward to another great semester, welcome back River Hawks!
