Biosketch

Ella is prepared and able to advance her academic research and teaching careers. She is extremely knowledgeable and up-to-date on marketing, advertising, and promotional strategy, strategic brand management, personal branding, integrated marketing communications, consumer behavior, and digital and social media marketing. She earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts (MA), in Journalism and Mass Communication, with a concentration in advertising and a minor in media planning, from the University of Florida. Her master's thesis is titled "American Core Values and Emotional Response in Television Advertising." The study was conducted in collaboration with BBDO Worldwide Inc. and incorporated the Emotional Measurement System®. Emotional response to commercials demonstrating the fundamental values of American culture. Her current passion is branding, which stems from her previous work with numerous Fortune 500 companies. Additionally, Ms. Karat is bilingual in English and Turkish, with a working knowledge of German and basic French.
