Your College Education Beyond Academics
Your courses are key to earning your degree. But your work in the classroom is only part of your college education.
Clubs, sports and intramurals, professional organizations — all of these experiences are enhancing leadership and collaboration skills, persistence and work ethic and so much more.
After you graduate, your transcript summarizes your academic success. But what highlights everything else?
The Student Mosaic Builder
This is why UMass Lowell created Mosaic.
Mosaic is a new feature within myUML (formerly NOW Student Dashboard ) where you can create a record of your experiences abroad, your internships, your time as a student organization leader, and so much more.
By piecing together your individual experiences onto a single digital canvas, future employers or graduate schools will be able to step back and see a more complete picture of your history and personal brand.
As you’re hunting that first job, use Mosaic to translate a college-career’s worth of campus involvement onto your resume.
So whether your campus engagement is jam-packed or just starting, log in and start building your Mosaic today.
The Mosaic Project
The Mosaic Builder – created by the Web Development and Experience Team in Brand, Communications & Creative Strategy – is a key part of the larger Mosaic project, led by the Division of Academic and Student Affairs in collaboration with Information Technology, and specifically its Salesforce Team, and other campus partners. The Mosaic project comes from a recognition of the direct relationship between student engagement on campus to retention, graduation and success as a UMass Lowell alumni.
Mosaic also helps university officials tailor their interactions to individual student needs and experiences. A more comprehensive understanding of student engagement will enhance student advising and support as well as strengthen university affiliations, elevating the value of alumni networks and increasing life-long connections to UMass Lowell.
