Mural by Artist Sophy Tuttle

As a collaborative project, art major Urdilinya Smith and artist Sophy Tuttle created a mural on the front side of Mahoney Hall featuring six plants and animals that are featured on the Massachusetts endangered species list. The mural faces Broadway and the South Campus quad. During the summer of 2022, ArtUp Lowell and Beyond Walls brought nine muralists to the City of Lowell to work on eight new murals, including two at UMass Lowell, as part of a four-month mural festival spanning five Massachusetts cities.
