Mural of Nina Coppens

Former Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Dean Nina Coppens is commemorated on the wall of the O'Leary Library mezzanine. The 16-foot-wide mural was painted by a trio of art students. The painting portrays Coppens looking off the canvas, with four layers of landscapes behind her, each meant to show a place dear to her, from rows of crops on the farm of her youth to the familiar buildings of UML’s South Campus.
