Mural of Chrome Cobito

Featured on the Pinanski radiation research lab’s containment shell, this mural of a Caribbean hermit crab, or cobito, was painted by internationally renowned Puerto Rican muralist, “Bikismo” (Joshua Santos Rivera). In summer 2022, ArtUp Lowell and Beyond Walls brought nine muralists to the City of Lowell to work on eight new murals, including two at UMass Lowell.
