Biosketch
Tania Centra is a clinical assistant professor and a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her nursing career began in 1993 when she accepted a position at a children's hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas where she built her clinical skills in pediatric medical/surgical and intensive care. After completing her Masters in Nursing - FNP Program, she worked in pediatric primary care, and rural medicine. She started as adjunct undergraduate faculty at Rivier University in 2012. In January 2020, she transitioned to Assistant Professor in the Family Nurse Practitioner program. As a Doctor of Nursing Practice student at the University of New Hampshire, she completed a scholarly project titled “Addressing Barriers to Colorectal Cancer Screening in a Federally Qualified Health Center: A Quality Improvement Project." She has practiced as a FNP in College Health Services since 2017. In addition, she is a per diem Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (APRN) for the Division of Public Health & Community Services in Nashua, NH.
