Determining the role of nutritional quality on the progression of age-related chronic diseases, such as osteoporosis and cardiometabolic disease among diverse and underrepresented populations.

Biosketch

Liam Fouhy, Sc.D, is an an adjunct professor in the Department of Biomedical and Nutritional Sciences and a research scientist for the the Center for Population Health at UMass Lowell. His research focuses on studying the role of nutritional quality on chronic diseases relating to age, including osteoporosis, cardiometabolic disease, and on health disparities un diverse and understudied populations. He also helps with data management and data requests for the Boston Puerto Rican Health Study.
