Research Interests
Prof. Hillier’s research interests focus on neurodivergent adolescents and adults. She is interested in transition from high school and adult outcomes including employment, college success, financial literacy, health care experiences, sexuality and gender identity, and intersectionality. Hillier's applied research focuses on implementing and evaluating various program interventions including a college preparation mentoring program "Horizons" for neurodivergent high schoolers, and a college success program for neurodivergent college students “Horizons Plus.” She also runs a social networking group "The Network" for neurodivergent adolescents and young adults.

Biosketch
Before joining the Department of Psychology at UMass Lowell, Prof. Hillier was a Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Scientist at the Department of Neurology at the Ohio State University. Hillier has taught Introductory Psychology courses, and undergraduate and graduate courses related to (dis)ability.
