Biosketch

Professor Berger is a Senior Adjunct Professor who has taught at UMASS Lowell since 2009 and is the 2023 recipient of UMASS Lowell’s “Excellence in Teaching by an Adjunct Faculty Member” award. Professor Berger’s research, teaching, and writing focus on publishing, copyright, and entrepreneurship with an emphasis on learning through the principles of focus and creative productivity through mindfulness. In addition to teaching at UMass Lowell, Professor Berger has taught in various online programs around the world at the college and high school levels.

Selected Artistic and Professional Performances and Exhibits

Richard Berger was named best jazz guitarist in Massachusetts in high school (All-State), and has been a member of his own bands and well as the bands Tempest, Draw the Line, and Nobscot (which opened for the band Chicago in 2006).
