ASC Election for 2021-2022 Officers is Open

Beginning May 1, 2020, current non-student American Society of Criminology members can vote in the election of officers. Voting runs until June 15, 2020.
ASC Executive Counselors are voting members of the Executive Board. Along with other officers, Executive Counselors are responsible for forming policies and practices for the Society, and for oversight of matters related to the budget, the ASC annual meeting, publications, personnel, and committee activities.
Melissa S. Morabito, Ph.D., is an associate professor with the School of Criminology and Justice Studies, and an associate with the Center for Women and Work at UMass Lowell. Her research focuses on police innovation, and law enforcement responses to issues at the intersection of public health, mental illness, and domestic violence.
Throughout her career she has fostered strong connections with police practitioners and agencies particularly in the measurement and evaluation of efforts to enhance their responses to vulnerable populations such as people with mental illnesses.
