Biosketch
Leanne Peters is responsible for leading the development and management of ongoing campus wide planning, project definition and campus systems; programming; capital project development from concept through project execution; ongoing research and communication of best practices; coordination and co-operation with local, state and federal government and other partners; and development of space inventory and other campus archives. She leads a talented project management and planning group comprised of architectural, engineering, construction, design, planning and facilities information systems professionals.Leanne holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management Concentration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Prior to joining UMass Lowell in 2010, Leanne’s experience was in project management on the general contracting side for commercial construction in the Boston area, San Francisco area, and New Hampshire.
Leanne also holds professional designations: Unrestricted MA Construction Supervisor’s License, LEED Accredited Professional in Building Design + Construction (LEED AP BD+C), MA Certified Public Purchasing Official (MCPPO), and Project Management Professional (PMP).
