Co-op Placement
I had the privilege of completing my co-op experience as a Process Engineer at Arcadis DPS Group Global Framingham, MA, from June to December 2023.
My time at DPS provided me with invaluable insights into real-world engineering practices for biopharmaceutical facilities and the associated dynamics of a professional workplace. I had the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge gained in my courses to practical, to real-life Industrial problems.
Through my role, I encountered diverse challenges that honed and fostered a deeper understanding of process engineering principles.
- I contributed to several long-term projects with P&ID Calculations, PFD & P&ID Drawings, witnessing firsthand the tangible impact of my contributions within the organization.
- I acquired deeper understanding in various software applications used in process design engineering like flexsim, fluid flow, and schedulePro.
- I represented my organization at the ISPE Boston Product Show at Gillette Stadium.
Key Learning
My co-op experience was instrumental in growing my problem-solving skills, enhancing my understanding of process engineering principles, and developing my project management abilities. I also have a deeper appreciation for the importance of effective communication and teamwork, networking and navigating challenges with resilience and creativity.
Moreover, I gained valuable insights into the professional landscape of process engineering, building a network of industry connections and solidifying my career aspirations.
