TopaCan

TopaCan won First to Market, a $4,500 prize at the 2016 Idea Challenge and also won first place in the graduate category at the 2015 Engineering Prototyping Competition, a $1,000 prize. The TopaCan team consists of Justin Lozier '17 (Mechanical Engineering) who is looking for additional team members. 

TopaCan is a product development company incorporated as an LLC out of Nashua, N.H. under the ownership of Justin Lozier. TopaCan’s first product is a can ashtray that turns any empty can into an environmentally friendly way to dispose of cigarette butts. Justin came to DifferenceMaker Central in the summer of 2015 without a product or plan. With the help of DifferenceMaker he received feedback, advice and guidance. Within one short year Justin has developed a product, won funding from two competitions, designed packaging and is talking to distributors. This shows that hard work truly pays off.
