Biosketch

Yun-Ju Choi was named CEO of Lowell’s Coalition for a Better Acre in 2014 and quickly established herself as a leader in the community. 
As CEO, she has overseen the construction of 131 units of affordable housing in Lowell, Dracut and Haverhill, Massachusetts. She also expanded youth, civic engagement, health access, workforce and economic development and community engagement programs, which complement the organization’s longstanding focus on affordable housing.
Prior to her arrival in Lowell, Choi worked for several Boston nonprofits, including Madison Park and Lena Park Community Development Corporations, the Boston Foundation and the Boys & Girls Club of Boston.
Her involvement in numerous boards and commissions, including Lowell Finance & Development Corp., Greater Lowell Community Foundation and Mill City Community Investments, has strengthened the fabric of city of Lowell.
Choi earned a bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College and a master’s degree in management from Cambridge College.
