BLA Concentration in Literature
The Bachelor of Liberal Arts (BLA) concentration in Literature enables students to develop skills in literary analysis while exploring literary genres and periods of particular interest, from Great Books of Antiquity to Contemporary Fiction. Special topics courses, such as Children’s Literature, the Horror Story, Turning Fiction into Film, or Selected Authors may also be taken as part of this concentration. The BLA concentration in Literature prepares students for graduate studies and careers in teaching, law, business, as well as careers with a range of cultural organizations including theatres, libraries, museums, non-profit organizations, etc.
