The Master of Science in Radiological Sciences and Protection, Medical Physics Option is designed for individuals who seek an entry-level graduate degree and wish to be educated in clinical medical physics. The MS Program’s objective is to provide clinical and research training in Medical Physics in addition to providing strong didactic fundamentals in radiation sciences and other physical sciences pertinent to this career.
Upon graduation, students will have an in-depth understanding of the fundamentally important aspects of medical physics theory and practice, and will be able to demonstrate competency in the following:
- Radiological physics and dosimetry
- Radiation protection and safety
- Fundamentals of medical imaging
- Radiobiology
- Medical Anatomy & Physiologic Processes
- Radiation therapy physics
- Application of analytical and computational methods to solving problems in the above areas
- Professionalism and Ethics
