Description

This course focuses on questions related to the exploration of space and global politics. We will consider questions related to the development of the US and Soviet space programs form the perspective of political ideology and competition, as well as the ideological and political issues related to the growth of space programs in the 21st Century such as the European Space Agency, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, and China National Space Administration, and emerging space programs in countries such as the United Arab Emirates.
