Description

It is now well documented that our day-to-day psychological well-being and our physical health depend in large part of the quality of our relationships with other people. This course delves into the science of human relationships are from infancy through adulthood. Drawing from developmental, clinical, evolutionary, cognitive, and social psychology, as well as anthropology, sociology, neuroscience, and biology, this course aims to explain the structure, functions, and dynamics of affectional bonds, particularly those related to attachment and mating. Although the course covers all periods of development beginning with infancy, two-thirds of the lectures and readings focus on adulthood.

Pre-Req: PSYC.1010 Intro to Psychological Science .
