Description
This course is a continuation of Music Teaching Methods 1 with special attention to the Orff Approach, Gordon Music Learning Theory, and the Feierabend Music Teaching Methods Through hands-on activities and lesson planning, students will continue to experience how a child learns through singing, moving, creating, playing instruments, responding, listening, performing, and connecting to their world. Students will also continue to apply their skills as accompanists to their classes with additional instruments such as the recorder, ukulele, and various world drums. Additionally, this class will reinforce aural skills through the processes of Gordon and Feierabend with the goal that they can hear and sing intervals, recognize patterns within major, minor, chromatic and modal scales and sight-read music within major and minor keys.
