Description
This course is designed for graduate/undergraduate students who are interested in printed electronics and additive manufacturing research. It covers introduction to printed electronics, multidisciplinary nature of printed electronics, advantages and disadvantages of conventional electronics and printed electronics, concepts and applications of different printing technologies (inkjet, aerosol jet, dispensing, gravure, flexographic and screen printing), printable materials and printable ink formulations (conductive inks, dielectric inks and resistive inks), challenges of functional ink printing, functional ink characterization, and printed RF and microwave device characterizations (S-parameters of CRCs and CPWs/Van Der Pauw method/Hall measurements/Dielectric properties).
Prerequisites
EECE.3600 Engineering Electromagnetics I, and EECE.3650 Electronics I, or Permission of Instructor.
