Philosophy and Film Series - Mr Smith Goes to Washington

The UML Department of Philosophy hosts FREE monthly screenings of popular films the Luna Theater, followed by a short talk and discussion with a member of the faculty. This fall's theme is "Democracy and Elections." Screenings are at the Luna Theater, inside Mill No. 5 (250 Jackson Street, 4th floor) and begin at 7:05. The event is free and open to UML students, faculty, and the public.

In September, Assistant Teaching Professor Dr. Aaron Shepherd will be presenting Frank Capra's classic film, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939). Come be inspired to think about the meaning of democracy in our time!
