October 10th is World Mental Health Day. In order to smash the stigma, UMass Lowell is bringing The Yellow Tulip Project to campus and planting a Hope Garden on North campus by the Starbucks. Why yellow tulips? Yellow tulips are the flower of Hope. They need to be planted close together- just like us- we all need community. Every year, tulips go in the cold, dark ground all winter, in order to beautifully bloom in the light of spring, representing that there is always hope.
Join us, along with UMatter2, and the Office of Sustainability, to come together in community, smash the stigma, and plant the seeds of hope for the spring.
