  • Favorite hobbies: reading, cooking, watching TV, hanging out with friends, and going on adventures.
  • What is your favorite thing about UMass Lowell (UML)? The community, I love how everyone is so welcoming and friendly to be around.
  • What are your future goals? I hope to work in a lab building medical devices or engineering tissue cells.
  • What has having been involved with the RHSA meant to you? The RHSA community has provided me with a lot of support and opportunities that have helped me start building my network.
  • Looking back, what advice would you give to yourself in your first year of college? I would tell my freshmen self that while a big part of college is finding yourself as an individual it’s also important to find a community that will help support you on your academic journey.
  • What advice would you give fellow students? I advise my fellow students to remember to take breaks. It can be hard to pace yourself with classes and homework if you don’t balance your work time and personal time, so remember to space out your breaks in a way that doesn't interfere with your responsibilities.
  • Why did you choose to attend UMass Lowell? I chose to attend UMass Lowell because I felt at home when I toured the campus and oved how the engineering department was set up.
  • What does it mean to you to be a first-generation college student? To me being a first-generation college student is about being able to take advantage of opportunities my parents and siblings before me couldn’t. It’s about creating a new future for my family.
  • What inspires you to want to help first-generation students in the RHSA? I want to help other first-generation college students because I know how helpful it was to have a mentor when I started my first year of college and want to be able to do that for someone else.
