- What is your favorite thing about UMass Lowell (UML)? My favorite thing about UML is the people here, they are all fantastic and kind.
- What are your future goals? As of right now my goal is to complete college.
- What has having been involved with the RHSA meant to you? Being involved with RHSA to me means being a part of a community with people in a similar situation that try to help you in any way possible.
- Looking back, what advice would you give to yourself in your first year of college? Don’t be scared to go to office hours and if you are ask someone to go with you!
- What advice would you give fellow students? If you are ever nervous to do something on your own, try finding someone that would go with you.
- Why did you choose to attend UMass Lowell? When I came here for Welcome Day everyone was so kind and seemed interested in me when I was talking to them, which is something I didn’t get when visiting other schools.
- What does it mean to you to be a first-generation college student? To me being a first-generation college student means being given an opportunity to improve my situation.
- What inspires you to want to help first-generation students in the RHSA? When I first came here, I felt alone as I didn’t know anyone and was experiencing something new by myself. Being RHSA helped me get over that fear as I was able to find a community of people that are similar to me and made me feel more welcomed. This is what inspires me to help first generation students so that they can also feel welcomed in a new environment.
