- What is your favorite thing about UMass Lowell (UML)? Its diversity. Everyone is guaranteed to find at least one other person with the same interests/goals as them.
- What are your future goals? Hopefully obtain my bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, and then obtain a master's degree in business administration through the 4+1 program here at Umass Lowell.
- What has having been involved with the RHSA meant to you? It has meant feeling safe knowing that I have mentors or faculty staff whom I can rely on. Additionally, I’ve realized that there are more first-generation college students than I realized, which makes me feel like I’m not alone in this.
- Looking back, what advice would you give to yourself in your first year of college? Find at least one school club where you feel like you belong. W
- hat advice would you give fellow students? Get an agenda book.
- Why did you choose to attend UMass Lowell? It’s affordable, diverse, and has a great graduate program.
- What does it mean to you to be a first-generation college student? It feels great knowing that I’m not only fighting for my own dreams, but also for my parents’ dreams.
- What inspires you to want to help first-generation students in the RHSA? Many aspects of college are confusing to first-generation students, even the application process. I’d be happy to clear up any confusion since I’ve been involved in many campus activities this academic year.
