Jenna Vinson is Assistant Professor of English at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Jenna specializes in feminist rhetorical studies. Her articles have appeared in journals such as Sexual Research and Social Policy, Feminist Formations, and Sex Education: Sexuality, Society, and Learning.
She is currently researching contemporary representations of teenage mothers in news media and teenage pregnancy prevention campaigns. She argues that many of these representations sustain problematic ways of thinking about women and the division of labor in childrearing. Jenna also examines the narratives, visual representations, and embodied responses young mothering women use to publicly resist stigmatizing representations of their bodies and lives.
