My research focuses on 20th, and 21st Century Spanish Peninsular Literature and Culture including the Recuperation of the Historical Memory in Spain, the cultural representation of HIV/AIDS, and Catalonian language and contemporary literature. I'm currently studying the relationship between the historical memory of the Spanish Civil War (1936-39) and the European memory of the Holocaust (1941-45) in Spanish and Catalonian literature.

Biosketch

Professor Arroyo-Rodríguez obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and his BA degree in Philology at the Universidad de Sevilla (Spain).
