Biosketch
Sheila K. Hoffman has worked as a curator and director in museums in Oklahoma, Michigan and New York. She has studied in the U.S., Canada and Europe and is currently a dual doctoral candidate in Art History and Museums Studies between the Sorbonne in Paris and the University of Quebec in Montreal. Her dissertation researches the intersection of digital technology and material culture, envisioning new paths for museum documentation and interpretation of objects. In 2013 she was named as one of Canada’s prestigious Vanier Scholars for her proposed dissertation. She currently serves as on the Board of Directors for CurCom, the national Curator’s Committee as well as the chair for their Subcommittee on Ethics.
