Welcome to the UMass Lowell Kayak Center!
We open on June 13, 2025!
The UMass Lowell (UML) Kayak Center is happy to be open to the public as well as the UML community! We offer:
- Kayak, Canoe, or SUP rentals: Available during our open hours by walk-up or reservation! On-land instruction provided to everyone. Beginners welcome! Or, use our upstream shuttle service which includes rentals. We also offer season and monthly passes as a great way to regularly enjoy the river!
- Group tours or classes with a guide: Join our regular sunset paddle tours, or join an instructional tour in either our Kayak Basics class or Intro to Kayaking class.
- Custom guided group tours are available for you and your family, friends or colleagues! All available with a reservation.
Paddle on down!
We are open to the public as well as the UML community all summer and for limited fall hours. We offer rentals, instruction, tours and fun!

Waivers
Waivers are required for all participants.

Payments
Rentals Online Payments may be made in person or in advance. If you know your specific charge, you may register and pay in advance of arrival.
