Visiting Assistant Professor (Non-Tenure-Track)

General Summary (Purpose) of Position
The Department of Plastics Engineering at UMASS Lowell invites nominations and applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor to begin fall 2008.

Applicants are invited in the Plastics Engineering field in the areas of plastics processing and plastics processing theory, injection molding processing and process control, computer aided design and simulation, injection mold design and computer numerical machining, and injection molding machine design.

Position is for one year.  Salary is commensurate with record and qualifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Earned Doctorate in Plastics or Polymer Engineering or closely related areas.
• Experience as a Post Doctoral Fellow or Research Professor required.
• Demonstrated teaching ability at the undergraduate and graduate levels preferred.
• Record of publications which demonstrates potential success as a researcher.
• Demonstrated publications in scholarly journals.
• Demonstrated ability working with diverse student and faculty population.
