General Summary (Purpose) of Position
Project Administrator provides administrative support for the operation of all aspects of the Bring Diversity to Nursing (BDN) project.  The BDN project activities include recruitment, pre-entry, retention, financial reporting, faculty development, and cultural awareness activities. Project Administrator duties include coordination of various BDN project activities, organizing, planning and facilitating project meetings, and assisting the Faculty Co-Investigator Liaisons with outreach activities and job shadowing of pre-entry students. 

Full time benefited position.  Grant funded, continuing position dependent on funding.

Examples of Duties:
1. Provide administrative support for the Bringing Diversity  to Nursing project by:
• Managing day to day activities for the project.
• Maintaining budget records and financial reporting for the program.
• Organizing and actively participating in monthly project meetings.
• Coordinating and facilitating regular full-project meetings.
• Developing and completing reports.
• Coordinating materials for cultural awareness activities and related faculty development.
• Completing projects in a timely fashion.

2. Providing assistance to the Nurse Recruiter and Pre-Entry Coordinator by:
• Serving as the Project contact for outreach activities to the middle and high schools with the Liaisons for Lowell and Lawrence.
• Assisting with the coordination of contacts with and maintaining records related to those healthcare/ community agencies participating in the job shadowing of pre-entry studies.

3. Promote the University’s commitment to customer service by:
• Building effective partnerships with co-workers throughout the University by freely sharing appropriate information and providing assistance when needed.
• Ensuring optimum service to all internal and external partners in response to all requests for service and information.
• Maintaining an environment that is welcoming to persons of all backgrounds, nationalities, and roles.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors degree
• Minimum 3 to 5 years experience as a Project Administrator or Executive Secretary or comparable position, preferably in an academic or non-profit environment, including financial management.
• Minimum of one year in a grant-management administrative role.
• Demonstrated communication skills, both written and oral, with proficiency in English.
• Demonstrated experience with computerized office applications including word processing, spreadsheets and database management; Microsoft Word, Windows, Microsoft Publisher, and Excel preferred.
• Experience in web site development/design using Collage preferred.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.

Supervision Received:  Reports directly to the Principal Investigator and Project Co- Directors.
