Teaching History With Daniel Mandel

Daniel Mandel.

On Thursday, April 10, History alum Daniel Mandel visited UMass Lowell to give a talk about his career teaching history. He graduated from UMass Lowell with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History in 2021 and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in 2022. He completed his student teaching at Lowell High School in spring 2022 before beginning work at the Collegiate Charter School of Lowell in fall 2022.

In his talk, Dan explained how he became a History teacher. This was followed by time for students to ask questions as they think about their own lives after UMass Lowell.

The talk took place in Coburn Hall, Room 150, from 5-6 p.m. Dan also gave the keynote speech, "Everything is History," for the Phi Alpha Theta induction ceremony that began after 6 p.m.
