Live Event Finals May 2
Since 2022, the UMass Lowell Innovation Hub Haverhill has partnered with the Essex County Community Foundation to annually present the Digital Equity Challenge. To date, we helped to fund an internet connectivity program in Haverhill, a digital literacy program for seniors in Lynn, a county-wide device refurbishment program, and an online literacy program for preschoolers and their families.

The Digital Equity Challenge seeks community-based, entrepreneurial solutions that address Digital Equity in Essex County, Mass., around these target areas:
- Increasing Digital Literacy
- Access to Devices and Technology
- Elevating Racial Equity in Digital Resources and Opportunities
The 2024 Digital Equity Challenge will be held May 2 at the Innovation Hub Haverhill, 2 Merrimack Street, 3rd Floor, Haverhill, Mass.
The 2023 Digital Equity Challenge awarded $10,000 in cash prizes to four teams. The full 2023 Digital Equity Challenge event video can be viewed on the Haverhill Community TV website.
