
The Office of Outreach is managed by Paul Marion, executive director of Outreach. He has a master’s degree in Community Social Psychology from UML and has extensive experience in community revitalization strategies. He helps UML establish and maintain partnerships in the public and private sectors that advance and fulfill the campus mission; provides funds to create and sustain strategic partnerships, especially institutional partnerships; represents UML on committees and boards of organizations; and links campus resources and services to the community while bringing the benefits of community engagement to students, faculty, and staff. He assists the provost on special projects and provides planning assistance to the Office of Academic Affairs, as well as to the chancellor, as needed. Contact Paul_Marion.
The Community Connections Information Clearinghouse makes UML’s resources more accessible to the region. Community-University Advisory Board
The Community-University Advisory Board includes more than 20 community and university representatives. The mission is to create deeper and broader connections between communities in the region and UML, emphasizing the need for mutual access to information, talent, and resources. The board, which advises the UML administration through the provost, identifies challenges and opportunities affecting municipalities, schools, agencies, organizations, businesses, and individuals; addresses issues collaboratively; and helps forge partnerships.
