Biosketch

Prior to working at UMass Lowell, Onyx worked at Southern New Hampshire University as an academic advisor, working predominantly with a diverse population of online students. During his undergraduate studies, he also served as a peer tutor for Spanish at the University of New Hampshire.

As coordinator of Tutoring Services, Chris’ role includes the management and supervision of the Centers for Learning tutoring center on North campus, as well as the nighttime tutoring that occurs at Fox Hall. The Centers for Learning covers Academic Services such as: Advising, Tutoring, Academic Coaching, Testing Center, and Graduate School Preparation Workshops.

Outside of River Hawk nation, Chris’ passions include basketball, hiking, camping, reading and family.
