south campusIt's important for all interested students to visit the UMass Lowell campus at some point during the admissions process. You will be able to meet the admission staff, students and some faculty members, and you will be able to absorb the sense of community that makes this a special place.

Here are the various events for each application cycle:

Campus Tours: These are general tours of either North or South Campus.  There is a brief Admissions introduction before the tour leaves with a trained student tour guide. They are Monday - Friday each week.

Open House:  This occurs each year in the fall; this year it is Sunday, November 1, 2009.  This is a chance for prospective high school juniors and seniors, as well as transfer students, to come to campus and meet the entire university community.

Academic Exploration Day: This is a chance for those who missed the Open House to come to campus to see the variety of academic options that UMass Lowell has to offer. This year, the Academic Exploration Day will be on Saturday, November 21, 2009.

Welcome Day: Welcome Day occurs in the spring, on Saturday, April 10, 2010, as a way to welcome accepted students to campus.  It is a chance to meet faculty and staff and to see all of the resources available to students to make college a successful experience.

Smart Start Orientation: This is where admitted students come to campus for an overnight visit to get aquainted with the UMass Lowell community, meet fellow classmates and register for classes.  Smart Start Orientation takes place each summer.
