I currently travel to community colleges in MA, ME, NH & CT.  After working at Northern Essex Community College and transitioning to UMass Lowell, I have learned that transfer students are among the most motivated to complete their Bachelor’s degree. Transfer students often balance family, work and college. They understand the value of an advanced degree. The transfer student population continues to grow at a rapid pace. Students examine more closely the university they choose to finish their degrees. They look for convenience in location, affordability and a variety of advanced degrees to choose from.

What’s the best thing about UMass Lowell?
UMass Lowell has made great efforts to evaluate courses from local and national community colleges to make the transfer process smooth. We have worked hard to give students transfer credit as applicable.

Advice for applicants:
Explore and take the time to understand the transfer process and you will benefit greatly.
