- Assessment Testing
Two items of considerable importance on the Checklist for Incoming Students are the enrollment deposit of $150.00 and the enrollment response card. While it may be early for you to consider sending in these items, they will hold your "spot" in the class and within your major. Should you choose not to attend UML for Fall 2008, your enrollment deposit can be refunded by submitting a request in writing prior to May 1, 2008.
If you haven’t been to campus, please take advantage of one of these opportunities to visit.

Smart Start Orientation in June – This is a must!
Learn More About Your Department
- Check out your department website, so you can get the flavor of the academic challenges there.
- Look to see what your courses for the fall are likely to be by going to the catalog and searching on your major. Requirements change from time to time but this will give you an idea of what to expect when you register at orientation in June.
- Check out the UML Calendar. Most concerts, lectures, exhibits, and other activities are free and open to the public, so come on over!
- Are you a sport fan? Keep track of UML teams as a River Hawk fan.
- Read eNews for the latest updates on campus happenings, research news and student activities.
- In March, start checking in at the Passport web site, a special place for information of interest to accepted students.
If you are contacted about assessment testing, please respond quickly. UML does some analysis and placement screening for all incoming students, to make sure you have the foundation skills to help you succeed here. Learn more and see the schedule at the Assessment Testing site.
Have you signed up for Smart Start Orientation yet? If not, go to the online registration to register.
