Information for Visitors with Mobility Impairments
Anyone needing special accommodations should contact
Chandrika Sharma, Ed. D.,
director of Disability Services (978) 934-4574.
NOTE: The University can not provide wheelchairs. If needed, they can usually be rented from a pharmacy or medical supply store.
-
Parking for those with an HP plate or placard is provided immediately opposite the arena entrance.
-
There are two ways to enter the arena: there is a handicapped drop-off immediately to the left of the main stairs, leading to a ramp up to the main entrance. Once inside, the east elevator is located to the right. You may also enter through the east entrance (to the right of the building), which leads immediately to the east elevator.
-
Seating for visitors with mobility impairments (and members of their visiting group) will be on the concourse at the top level of the seating in the
Tsongas Arena (take the elevator). Depending on the amount of such seating required, groups may need to be restricted to five persons together in this area.
-
Rest rooms are available on the main floor and the concourse, near the elevator.
