Sen. John Kerry

Currently serving his fourth term in the U.S. Senate, John Kerry was originally elected to the post in 1984. He is the Chairman of the Small Business Committee and a member of the Commerce, Finance and Foreign Affairs committees. He chairs several subcommittees including Commerce's Technology, Innovation and Competitiveness subcommittee, Finance's Subcommittee on Social Security, Pensions, and Family Policy and Foreign Affair's subcommittee on Near East South and Central Asian Affairs.

As senator, Kerry has helped to provide health insurance for millions of low-income children, to improve public education, protect the natural environment and ensure that America's veterans have access to the care and support they deserve.
