Bio Sketch
Joanne Yestramksi has a long and accomplished career in financial management, administration and information technology services. She has spent the last 12 years working in the field of higher education, at both public and private institutions in New England. As Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance at UMass Lowell, she is also a member of the Chancellor's Executive Cabinet.
Prior to her appointment at UMass Lowell, Yestramski was employed as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the University of Maine System, a public university system with more than 45,000 students and seven campuses located throughout the state of Maine. She also served as Vice President of Finance and Treasurer at Bentley College and in similar capacities at the Providence Journal, Museum of Science in Boston, BioTechnica International and KPMG Peat Marwick.
Yestramski has a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, an M.B.A. from Texas A&M University and is a certified public accountant. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Yestramski met her husband Charles (“Chuck”) at UMass Lowell where they both went to school and they were married on campus. In 1989 she received the school’s College of Management Science Executive of the Year and Distinguished Alumna award.
The Yestramskis have two children, Brandon and Jeannie. Most recently they've resided in Veazie, Maine, and are relocating to the Greater Lowell area.
